Pretty confronting picture, right?
Anyone with psoriasis knows the effort they go to hiding this part of their life; and I was no different. When I was in my 20s I would stop socialising with my friends when I had a flare up, as I was too ashamed to let others know I had psoriasis. Of course, close friends and family knew but I was very careful to only share it with people I felt safe with. It wasn’t because they mattered, it was the judgement and reaction I didn’t want to see; so isolation was the only way I knew how to deal with this.
Now, fast forward 20+ years and this image is a very distant memory (although the pain and fears are harder to forget).
The reason I feel it is important to share this with you is to give you hope. Like me, I’m sure you have tried EVERYTHING!
I know how tough it is to stay positive and hopeful that something will take this pain away.
I’m here to share with you that there is NO magic bullet.
What I did and STILL do is live a life that creates a healthy body so that the psoriasis won’t flare up.
That’s RIGHT! I haven’t cured it I just know exactly how to TARGET and MANAGE this disease.
On this website you will find so many different options that can help depending where you are in your journey of health. EVERYTHING I have here has been formulated with the 18 year old me in mind (pictured to the left). I hope you aren’t as severe as I once was; but the approach is the same:
REDUCE INFLAMMATION IN THE BODY AND REDUCE INFLAMMATION FROM ENTERING THE BODY!
